AgTech Ecosystem Strengthening Programme

Global food demand, competitiveness, sustainability and adding value at source make technology essential for agriculture. Tandil has a growing technology industry, driven by cooperation among local institutions. Building on that, the programme maps the actors of the AgTech ecosystem, energises it and strengthens the network between knowledge, industry and agricultural institutions. It works on research, R&D projects, publications and training.

I co-direct the programme with Dr María Isabel Camio, with general coordination by Belén Arditi (MSc).

• PEIDYT 2021/2022 project: mapping actors and the match between technology supply and demand in the Agrotech ecosystem around UNICEN, with Tandil's agro-industrial and IT chambers, the Municipality of Tandil and the Tandil Industrial Park.
• PEIDYT 2022/2023 project: extending the map to the «Mar y Sierras» region, with faculty from UNICEN (Sciences, Economics, Engineering) and UNMDP (Agricultural Sciences).
• Paper «Early adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in the agricultural sector: A phenomenological analysis», Journal of the International Council for Small Business (Arditi, Camio, Velázquez and Errandosoro).
